THE “LIGHT” FACTOR

There was this jackpot syndrome playing games at me all along my path as I grew up. If the ultimate breakthrough was not going to be at a lottery, then it would be among the gamblers in a casino some place or a lottery at another. I was always expecting it, anxiously so. It felt this close yet elusive. I burnt my fingers a few times with con men, tripped and bruised my toes often in hostile terrains. Continue reading “THE “LIGHT” FACTOR”

The Giants of Canaan

The ten grass hoppers and the peculiar duet finally crossed the border back to camp. The atmosphere was filled with deep apprehension as they joined the rest in a moment that would decisively go down in history as pivotal not only for them but for subsequent generations and the Nation in its entirety. The old and young, both great and small, near and far would recurrently hear of it in wonder! Continue reading “The Giants of Canaan”

Like The Roar of a Lion

Continued from last week’s Ground Zero…

The crevice at the right side of the door gave a rare glimpse of the spectacle inside the magnificently lit room. In a flurry of activity that filled the spacious room with such awesome ambiance, the four winds went round the majestic presence at the centre of the room uttering names and events in progress round the four corners of the earth.
