“A big part of me feels so much at peace,” Tower picked up. “Our remarkably industrious quest through the centuries…generations, numerous intricate details involved. It was him all along wasn’t it?! All about him…so near yet so far away. Her light chuckle echoed the heart of one lost in intense wonder. He is finally here! Feels like being released from a spell. I wonder what took him so long!”

“What’s going on here? Who exactly is this child? Someone please explain to me!” Pillar blurted out in frustration.

“This King!” Sky scrapper interjected impatiently.

“Child…Fine a child King…King…Child! Whatever!” he pulled violently at his reins, staggering his animal. “Goodness! I feel so small! I have to see to believe! He better have a crown on his head when I get there! I’m serious!”

“I will never forget that murderous look through the king’s eyes,” said Tower. “Then his face. It mirrored something…like it wasn’t really him. For a moment he appeared to me as a vessel, one representing a reality way beyond what we can see. I mean think about it, toddlers don’t run palaces. He will be probably dead by the time the young one makes it to teenage.”

“We are not hearing the end of this intuition drift are we? Guess you just made a big point there though. It’s a big paradox this one. Come to think of it. The child represents a reality way beyond as well. Exactly what happens when two worlds collide. We guys are of course right at the centre of it. And that’s almost by fate. This child is destined for greatness thus, right? I hope when my wife goes on labor, it’s to usher in a daughter!” The prolonged laughter reverberated on the hills across the plains.

“There is something peacefully good about this celestial wonder. A securely anchored destination factor that just by the look of it tells you it will be okay for every eye illuminated with its substance. Some rise to be part of the wandering motion, some to join the shooting league. This one has risen with a difference. My intuition tells me it has a destination, working with an end in sight from the beginning. That sets it apart from any other known star from the constellations in the millions of their galaxies.”

“God bless your intuition Tower!” spoke a much calmer Pillar.

Sky scrapper sighed heavily, staring thoughtfully into the sky, his tone gently oozing authority and great conviction. “I am advanced in years and grateful to the heavens for the opportunity to witness this glorious culmination before I am on my way to the other side. What an honor. You all hopefully have lots of time in your hands. Strive earnestly in your ambition to find your definition, meaning and significance within this star, child or king whichever works for you. You will be wise indeed if you heed. Your onus.

AUSPICIOUS

Continued from last week’s ONE MOMENT IN TIME

“Right where they are now…wait a minute!” Came a gentle whisper as he lowered his hand, eyes fixed on the couple. He was peculiarly zeroing in on the lady’s arms. His counterpart had a fair understanding of the shades of moments and their accompanying significance. This one was not impotent.

The Patriot’s eyes were suddenly overflowing with life as the peasant duet came closer. He stood petrified, in a fixed gaze, as his counterpart looked on, mouth wide open, hands stuck to her chest. He reached out for the bundle of joy handed over to him in what depicted a flawlessly rehearsed script. Continue reading “AUSPICIOUS”

ENEMY OF STATE…A RERUN

There was a major stir within the royal courts as the flamboyant contingent of luminaries blazed its way in a grand exit. The city was on high alert following news just in. State officials, military and intelligence chiefs were making their way to the first house for an emergency priority meeting .Word was rife within the echelons of power the Nation was at the verge of a state of emergency. ONE MOMENT IN TIME!

Another day! A morning. At sunrise! One may as well have called it dawn…Yes! Especially that one… Dawn! Sometimes it’s all one and the same word, others one and the same thing. The distinctions on the shades there-in do not always stand out. Because the sting of the mundane renders one too many numbed til it doesn’t really matter. For one already saw it yesterday, there it is today, as expected, with tomorrow a sure bet in occurrence and fashion alike. THE TEMPLATE ENIGMA

What a moment…when reality and fiction meet at the inevitable momentous arena of decision…more amazingly when office and function clash on impact before the priority trail of the spectacle of the Nations. You neither want to be caught in the cross fire, nor appear on the wrong side of the equation. It is the ultimate litmus test, when fine-tuned distinctions must be made within the scale, such as exists between Fear and Faith… Continue reading “THE TEMPLATE ENIGMA”

WHEN THE MARTIANS COME CALLING!

Continued from last week’s Invasion…The “F” Factor…

“Stop!” Shouted an enraged conductor at the top of his voice, his eyes fixed at the concertmaster. The audience was heavily pregnant with expectation as the auditorium went gravely silent.

“That was F-Minor, not F-Major!” Remember you have to keep it at F-Major no matter what happens. You knew that, didn’t you?! Now see what disaster you’ve caused. Your crucial instrument is from now on muted. What are we going to do?!” Continue reading “WHEN THE MARTIANS COME CALLING!”

INVASION…THE “F” FACTOR

It was the matchless story of ages, the spectacle of the Nations and the untold mystery of world’s greatest wonder articulated in a magnificent performance of the season. The awesome display of a refined synchronized work of art, gift and beauty converged in a grand public statement of the blazing trail. It was the story of past, present and future unfolding along a common story-line in such an ineluctable  fashion there were simply no words to depict. The sponsors and critics of fate and destiny alike were engrossed in a heated endless contest on which way the spectacle was exactly headed. Yet it seemed truth lay way beyond either, rapidly moving forward in a life of her own, a domain elusive from the wit and scrutiny of the naked mind and eye respectively, with the child like simplicity of the substance it bore: Truth! WITH A TOUCH OF THE HUNGRY RED DRAGON!

The Grand finale… continued from last week’s “The Sons o Balaam”

He encircled his lucrative target one more time spreading over the expansive plain and came descending upon the unsuspecting kindred, ready to unleash terror from all faculties. His indicators confirmed the landmine was in place. There was not a chance for escape, even for the luckiest. This would be the day truth is wiped off the map of the world. Maybe he had something to be proud of after all. Maybe he was really at the verge of making history. Maybe it was worth the carrot or the carrot worth the effort, he thought to himself as he lowered his thumb on the detonator, his face displaying great anticipation.

“Your long miserable trek just got nastier folks!” He sarcastically muttered to himself. Continue reading “WITH A TOUCH OF THE HUNGRY RED DRAGON!”

THE SONS OF BALAAM

Continued from last week’s Land Mine of the Great Trek…

It’s been said unlike poles attract. As the luminary flew his jet over the plain there was no doubt in his mind he represented an extreme contrast to the kindred underneath. The thought their identity would ultimately take dominion over the earth gave him a strongly repulsive churn in his stomach laced with monumental proportions of anger. As he casually glanced over the detonator, he knew he had turned into a different person. He knew he was doing the wrong thing. But then it’s whom he had become! How could he be so wrong yet feel so right? For he found himself knowing one thing yet by contrast doing a different one all together, this with a guarded eerie sense of ease. Continue reading “THE SONS OF BALAAM”
