I LOVE YOU!

Through the iron gates of great impossibility

Mirrored in the face of adversity

Underlined with intense streams of tears innumerable

With all hope descended at rock bottom

Fear courting as closest companion…

There shone a light

Through the eyes of a dove

Engulfing with intensity

Revitalizing with effect

I was suddenly alive

Just like that!

It has only gotten better by the day

And the breeze in the air tells me we will be just fine

 I did not know how to spell Grace

Nor comprehend how to paint Favor

I had lost faith in dreams

Until you walked into my life

And smiled at me through the eyes of a dove

And before my very eyes brought the touch of heaven right into our world

Sweet scent of Glory

You have changed my life

And forever altered its course in ways beyond words

 I watched you glide down the aisle

With such incredible gail

You were like a messenger sent of the divine

Days, moments, weeks, months and years scrolled past my eyes

Memories gone by of a gruelling race that had at times felt destined for a dead end

In the long and winding of it you and I know best

I couldn’t believe it, that there was a chance after all our dream was coming to being

Especially through the eyes of the dove

Truly the best had been saved for last

I did not see it come until the very last moment

Reminiscent of the ancient six stone jars

So it’s true there is such a place where best is saved for last

It was marvelous to behold, so beautiful to comprehend

I crossed my fingers and waited patiently for you to get to me

Not sure if I was caught up in yet another mirage

Or the reality of a grand dream coming true

You did not disappoint

This was as real as real could get

The smile on your face swept all unbelief away in an instant

The look in your eyes held my spirit in the embrace of a tender anchor…

The eyes of a dove

With the Christmas lights dancing merrily right behind us

Now that we have made it yet through another full circle

I just want you to know…

Thought I should let you know

That I love you more than love could tell

You are the reason I know I have a date with destiny

That Heaven is watching over us

You are a dream come true

In a love song

That will fade away not

Till the end of time
